Dr. Carol Leavell is the former Director of Neuropsychology at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital. She also taught Neuropsychology and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and supervised internships, at the graduate level in the School Psychology Program at the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

Dr. Leavell received her Ph.D. at Syracuse University and then went on to complete an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Neuropsychology through the Brown University Medical School Internship Consortium. She completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology at Braintree Hospital in affiliation with Boston University.

Dr. Leavell is a past President of the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society. She has been elected a Fellow in the National Academy of Neuropsychology and has been accepted as a Diplomate in the American Board of Professional Psychologists and the American Association of Clinical Neuropsychologists. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association, the Massachusetts Psychological Association, the International Neuropsychological Society.

In addition to her interest in the neuropsychology of psychiatric, behavioral and learning disorders, Dr. Leavell has researched, written and lectured about numerous other neuropsychological populations, including children and adults with genetic and neurodevelopmental disorders and various types of acquired brain injury.
